Job Description

Patient Care:
Prepare patients for dental procedures by welcoming and comforting them.
Assist dentists during procedures by handing them instruments and materials, ensuring patient comfort throughout the treatment.
Provide postoperative instructions and educate patients on oral hygiene and plaque control.



Clinical Duties:
Sterilize and disinfect dental instruments and equipment to maintain a safe and clean environment.

Take dental x-rays and assist in diagnostic procedures.

Fabricate temporary restorations and custom impressions as needed.




Administrative Tasks:
Manage patient records, including collecting and recording medical histories and vital signs.

Schedule appointments, answer phone calls, insurance verification.

Maintain inventory of dental supplies and order materials as necessary.





Ensure the treatment room is prepared and organized for each patient visit.

Comply with infection control policies and procedures to protect patients and staff.

Assist in managing dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification and emergency supplies.




Skills and Qualifications
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and team members.
Knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
Certification or completion of an accredited dental assisting program is often required.

Salary Details

- Competitive salary based on qualifications and experience.

Shift & Schedule

- Work Hours: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday: 7 AM - 4 PM; Wednesday: Closed; Friday: 7 AM - 1 PM.
- Breaks: 60-minute meal break (not counted as work hours).
- Overtime: Overtime available during busy seasons and paid at 1.5x the regular hourly rate.
- Weekend Work: Some Sat.
- Holiday Shifts: Occasional holiday shifts, compensated at double time.
