（Part-time） Dental assistant job at Rowland Heights Dental Center

Duties

Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures by providing necessary tools and materials.
Prepare and maintain the treatment area, ensuring cleanliness and adherence to infection control standards.
Perform tasks such as taking dental radiographs (X-rays).
Manage patient records, including medical documentation and dental records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Schedule appointments and manage the front desk duties as needed, including answering phones and greeting patients.
Collaborate with the dental team to ensure a smooth workflow and optimal patient experience.

Monday to Friday from 10:00 to 2:00. Can work on Saturdays

Requirements

Proficiency in medical terminology, dental terminology, and understanding of infection control practices.
Experience with medical documentation systems and managing medical records is preferred.
Familiarity with digital dental x rays.
Previous experience in pediatrics or as a dental receptionist is a plus but not required.
Certification as a Dental Assistant or equivalent training is highly desirable.

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients and team members.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
