（Part-time） Assistant to an oral surgeon job position at Dr Mark A. Plant, DDS PA

Assist the oral surgeon during diagnostic and surgical procedures, including patient preparation and handling dental imaging such as X-rays.
Monitor and record patients’ vital signs and overall condition throughout treatment.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic health record (EHR) systems, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and infection control standards.
Collaborate with the surgical team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
Educate patients about their treatment, post-operative care, and oral health maintenance.
Adhere strictly to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols to maintain a safe clinical environment.
Manage and update medical and dental records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Respond promptly and calmly in emergency situations, utilizing CPR and AED certification skills as needed.
Provide compassionate patient care, fostering a supportive and reassuring atmosphere.

Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) with current CPR and AED certification.
Entry-level candidates with strong foundational skills and willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
Knowledge of oral anatomy, vital signs monitoring, aseptic techniques, and medical imaging.
Experience with electronic health record systems and documentation management.
Understanding of HIPAA regulations and infection control practices in a dental setting.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient interaction and teamwork.
Previous dental office or oral surgery assisting experience preferred but not required.
Ability to commute or relocate to Twin Falls, ID prior to start date.
