Responsibilities

Assist the dentist during examinations and dental procedures by preparing instruments and materials
Maintain accurate, confidential patient records and medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations
Prepare treatment rooms for patient visits, ensuring cleanliness, sterilization, and organization
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions
Manage appointment scheduling and follow-up communication with patients
Utilize dental software systems such as Dentrix and Epic for efficient record management
Support pediatric dentistry procedures by creating a calm and comfortable environment for children
Perform basic laboratory tasks including taking impressions and preparing dental materials
Stay current on dental terminology, endodontics, and medical coding practices

Tuesday: 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM, 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Wednesday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM, 1:30 PM – 5:00 PM
Thursday: 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM, 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Friday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM, 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM
Saturday & Sunday: Closed

Hours: Approximately 32 hours per week

Valid X-Ray Certification (Required)
Proficiency with dental software systems, particularly Dentrix and Epic
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, including pediatric dentistry and endodontics
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients of all ages
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work collaboratively in a professional, team-oriented environment
Experience with pediatric dentistry is preferred but not required

Minimum 4 years of dental assisting experience preferred
