（Part-time） Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) job at Cali Smiles Family Dentistry

Responsibilities

Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.
Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in compliance with infection control protocols.
Take and record vital signs of patients as needed.
Utilize 3D scanners for imaging and assist in the creation of dental models.
Maintain accurate patient records using dental software systems .
Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
Support endodontic procedures by preparing materials and assisting the dentist as required.
Handle medical coding for insurance claims accurately.

Work Hours:

• Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts

Requirements

Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not mandatory.
Familiarity with infection control practices in a clinical setting.
Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry is essential.
Proficiency in using dental software systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft is a plus.
Experience with 3D scanning technology is advantageous.

Ability to perform basic medical coding for insurance purposes is desirable.
Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.
Must be detail-oriented, organized, and able to work effectively in a team environment.
