（Part-time） Orthodontist Assistant job at Crossroads Dental Arts

What You’ll Do:

Assist the orthodontist during patient examinations and treatments, ensuring a smooth workflow.
Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment according to infection control protocols.
Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Manage patient scheduling and follow-up appointments using dental software systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix.
Support the orthodontist in taking dental impressions, X-rays, and other diagnostic tests.
Ensure the treatment area is organized, clean, and well-stocked with necessary supplies.

Work Hours:

• Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts

What We’re Looking For:

Previous experience in dental assisting or a related field is preferred.
Knowledge of infection control practices and medical coding is essential.
Familiarity with orthodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry is a plus.
Proficient in using dental software systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix.
X-Ray Certification (Preferred)

Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing medical records.
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a compassionate approach towards patients.
Certification in dental assisting or relevant credentials is highly desirable.
