（Part-time） Pediatric Dental Assistant job at Tysons West Orthodontics and Children's Dentistry

What You’ll Do:

• Assist the pediatric dentist with various dental procedures, including exams, fillings, cleanings, and preventive care.
• Work alongside orthodontists to assist with braces, aligners, and other orthodontic procedures.
• Provide chairside assistance during treatments, ensuring a smooth and comfortable experience for patients.
• Educate and guide children and their parents about oral hygiene and care instructions.
• Manage patient records and update medical history in the dental software.
• Take and develop dental x-rays.
• Sterilize instruments and maintain a clean and safe environment in the treatment area.
• Ensure patient comfort and explain procedures to children and parents in an approachable manner.
• Maintain a positive, welcoming, and professional attitude when interacting with patients, families, and staff.
• Stay current with dental procedures, technology, and safety protocols.

Work Hours:

• Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts

What We’re Looking For:

• 1+ year of experience as a Dental Assistant preferred, especially in pediatrics.
• Experience in orthodontics a plus.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, particularly when working with children and parents.
• Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented and reliable with strong follow-through.
