（Full-time） Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) job at Carolinas Center for Oral & Facial Surgery

What You’ll Do:
• Prepare patients for dental procedures by ensuring comfort and explaining what to expect during their visit.
• Assist the dentist during various dental procedures, including restorative, cosmetic, and surgical treatments.
• Sterilize dental instruments and prepare treatment rooms before and after patient appointments.
• Take dental radiographs (X-rays) as directed by the dentist and ensure all images are of diagnostic quality.
•Update patient records with information about treatments performed, procedures scheduled, and any concerns raised by patients.
• Provide patients with post-treatment care instructions and guidance on oral hygiene and preventive practices.
• Prepare and mix dental materials such as fillings, impressions, and bonding agents as needed for procedures.
• Manage appointment scheduling, patient communications, and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work environment, adhering to all infection control protocols

Work Hours:

• Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM

Who We’re Looking For:

• At least 2 years in a dental assisting role
• Current Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) certification
• Must have valid CPR certification
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
• NC dental x-ray certification (preferred)
• Oral & Maxillofacial Anesthesia Assisting Program completion

• Strong communication, attention to detail, and ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment
• Comfortable with dental software and digital charting
• Friendly, professional demeanor with a passion for excellent patient care
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting while maintaining a high level of accuracy
