（Full-time） Dental assistant job position at Sonrisa Dental - San Antonio

We are a start-up office with room to grow. We are looking to add a fun and energetic personality to help engage with our patients. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Pay is negotiable, and hours will increase as our schedule gets busier.

Duties

-Assist the dentist during various procedures, including examinations, cleanings, and all dental treatments.
-Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment following infection control protocols required by OSHA.
-Maintain accurate medical documentation and patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
-Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
-Manage patient scheduling, including appointments and follow-ups.
-Perform 2D and 3D radiographic imaging as needed to assist with diagnostics.
-Ensure the dental operatory is clean, organized, and well-stocked with necessary supplies DAILY.
-Support the dentist in various specialties including general dentistry and prosthodontics.
-Must be okay with being on our social media videos
-Help collaborate with trending social media posts

- Work Hours: Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM
- Breaks: 60-minute meal break (not counted as work hours).
- Overtime: Overtime available during busy seasons and paid at 1.5x the regular hourly rate.
- Weekend Work: No weekend shifts required.
- Holiday Shifts: Occasional holiday shifts, compensated at double time.

Registered Dental Assistant / Certified Dental Assistant

Clinical Skills: Ability to assist in dental procedures (e.g., taking X-rays, sterilizing instruments, preparing treatment rooms).
Radiology Certification: Depending on location, a dental assistant may need to be certified to take X-rays.

Impression Taking: Ability to take dental impressions for molds and models.
