Orthodontic Assistant

We are looking for a friendly and bubbly RDA who will make our Ortho office more pleasant, efficient and fun for our awesome patients! As we are a Pediatric practice, being able to communicate well with the patients and parents is essential. We strive for excellent patient care in a fun loving environment. We require a DA, RDA or OA who has previous orthodontic experience. We love teamwork in ensuring great patient care along with a smooth workday for the whole team!

Job Description

Responsibilities:

- Taking patient records
- Provide chairside assistance during orthodontic procedures
- Take panoramic radiographs (x-rays)
- Prepare patients for treatment procedures
- Set up instruments, equipment and materials needed
- Sterilize instruments according to regulations
- Provide oral hygiene and care instructions
- Keep the ortho room clean and well-stocked
- Maintain accurate patient charting

Salary Range 【Full-time】 $32.00 〜 $42.00 /hour
Salary Details

Salary is determined by experience.

Shift & Schedule

4 days per week. M-Thursday 8-5pm
Requirements

Skills:

- Experience as an RDA, ideally in the orthodontic field
- Knowledge of orthodontic instruments and sterilization methods
- Understanding of health & safety regulations
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Attention to detail
- Well-organized and reliable
- High school diploma; graduating from dental assistant school is preferred
- Additional certification or training is an asset
