（Full-time） Dental Assistant job position at Dr. Darnell Kaigler & Associates Dental

Daily:

Set up operatory for patients.

Identify progress notes for each patient you worked on to ensure they've been written

Turn on processor in the x-ray room (morning)

Turn on the compressor and vacuum system (morning)

Empty cold steriles and restock supplies in each operatory

Review charts for daily patient's to prepare for coming procedures

Check next-day lab cases for proper treatment phase scheduling

Write down any needed supplies that need to be ordered and give to the office manager

File x-rays in the chart

Fill water bottles in the operatories

Punge lines for air water and high speeds

Turn off the processor in the x-ray room (evening)

Turn off the compressor and vacuum system (evening)

Check in and put away any supply orders that come in, return the inventory list checked and signed to the o.m.

Identify progress notes for each patient you worked on to ensure they've been written


Weekly:

Empty water bottles

Run vacu-cleaner or bleach through all suction lines

Clean all chairs in the operatories then armorial chairs and bases

Lower the panorex unit and dust the top

Clean the x-ray processor (ask Dr Kaigler)

Restock the operatories to "full"

Pull lab cases for next week’s schedule


Monthly:

Clean and reset x-ray machine

Restock treatment rooms

- Weekday Work Hours: Monday-Friday: 9AM - 5PM
- Weekend Work: 1-2 Saturday's a month: 9AM-3PM
- Breaks: 40-minute meal break
- Overtime: Overtime available during busy seasons and paid at the regular rate
- Holiday Shifts: Occasional holiday shifts

Radiology certification (required)

Education & Certification:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Completion of an accredited dental assisting program.
*Students in their final semester may be considered.
Certification such as Certified Dental Assistant - CDA (preferred, not required)
