Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Oral Surgery Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will work closely with the oral surgeon and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality care to patients. The Oral Surgery Assistant will be responsible for preparing for consultations, maintaining an efficient workflow, and assisting in various surgical procedures.

Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including taking vital signs and medical histories.
- Perform routine procedures and assist in surgeries.
- Document patient care activities accurately in electronic health record systems.
- Provide patients with pre-and post-operative care.
- Respond to clinical messages, maintain medical records and collect pertinent physician information as directed.
- Process digital x-rays as needed.
- Prepare operatories for surgery. Sterilize and process instruments as needed.
- Participate in continuing education opportunities to stay current with medical advancements and best practices.

Normal hours are 7:30-5:00 Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and 7:30-3:00 Friday
Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week

- Experience or knowledge in oral surgery, or general dentistry is preferred.
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
- Prior experience in dental assisting or related fields.
