This NP will provide assistance to clinical faculty and staff. The NP will be able to change treatment for patients after their clinical observations and appointments. In addition to duties previously mentioned, the NP will also be responsible for providing and coordinating the care of patients, and providing education to patient/families in order to ensure there is a continuity of care.

The NP functions in an interdependent role by implementing the appropriate Standardized Procedures (SPs). By using the SPs the NP is able to change treatment regimen after observing signs and symptoms of illness, reactions to treatment, general behavior and physical condition and determines if they are abnormal findings (Ca Nursing Practice Act, subsection(b) of Section 2725). The NP will provide and coordinate the care of patients, provide patient/family education, promote safe continuity of care. The NP also participates in interdisciplinary and clinical rounds, provides education and support, as well as makes appropriate referrals and documents services rendered. This role will be for inpatient diabetes management.

Salary range : $84.82- $121.13/hourly

NP1 (Less than 6 months ) :$76.51/hourly

Qualifications

  • MSN degree with a NP specialty in Adult Acute Care (AG-ACNP)- required
  • CA RN and CA NP license -required.
  • National Certification in Adult Acute Care (AG- ACNP) Specialty-required
  • Previous Endocrine experience -preferred
  • BLS from ARC or AHA- required
  • State of California NP, State of CA NP Furnishing with Schedule II, National Certification (i.e. ANCC)NPI #, DEA #,Enrollment in PECOS, Enrollment in CURES
  • Ability to utilize excel, word and other software programs-required
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and collaborative working relationships with administrative, clinical and academic personnel-required
  • Skill in working independently and following through with minimum direction-required
  • Ability to set priorities-required
  • Demonstrate writing skills to compose logical, detailed and grammatically correct correspondence-required
  • Document patient care in a concise and comprehensive manner-required
  • NP1 : less than 6 months exp: $76.51/hourly
